A TEAM featuring two brothers and a fellow farm worker from the Pembrokeshire area have been knocked out of S4C’s farming challenge show Fferm Ffactor.

Team leader Robert Vaughan, 43, from Cwm Gwaun, created a team with his brother, Richard Vaughan, 42, and his co-worker, Steffan Davies, 35, from Cilgwyn and they made a great fist of it over a number of tough challenges.

However, they just missed out on a place in the final in a nerve-tingling semi-final show.

Robert said: “I felt that we were close, but it was a tough competition. It’s been a pleasure to take part in the series and it’s something to look back on.”

Robert had pledged to be “competitive” in the competition as “It’s in our blood to compete with our neighbours.”

They proved equal to their opponents, a team of former contestants, in a number of tough agricultural tasks, which included the Tractor Challenge.

Robert’s team did well in the cattle photoshoot and the sheep flocking challenge but they were pipped in the quiz.

It leaves only three teams left battling it out in the teams’ competition Brwydr y Ffermwyr for the sought after title.

The winners will be revealed in the grand final on December 3 on the channel.
