BRITAIN'S top sheepdogs and their handlers converged on Tywyn in September for the 2016 International Sheep Dog Trials.
Brecon handler Kevin Evans led from the start to claim the 2016 Supreme title with his young dog, Preseli Ci.
Kevin, a builder from from Libanus, was also first out in the Supreme showdown and again they posted a score that no one else was able to match.
However a storming late run by James McLaughlin and Dan, the Irish National champions and the last pair out, ensured a nervous wait for Kevin: the Welshman’s final margin of victory was just a solitary point.
Preseli Ci was among seven Welsh dogs to reach the 15-strong final at Sandilands Farm, ensuring the team title went to the home side led by Dolgellau shepherd Medwyn Evans.
