AFTER a series of rises in milk prices to producers, dairy co-operative First Milk has reduced its May milk prices to members by between 0.10ppl and 0.35ppl.
Clive Sharpe, First Milk chairman commented: “After total increases of 10ppl since last summer, it is disappointing to have to reduce our milk price. However, consistent with our business operating model, we will continue to pay a milk price that relates to our returns.”
The Midlands & East Wales milk pool shows a drop of 0.10ppl to 26.15p in A prices, while Haverfordwest drops 0.35 to 27.53.
