A new breed record for a British Blue bull was smashed at the Border British Blue Club’s 27th annual spring show and sale at Carlisle when Dragon Blues Kai ET was snapped up by a Welsh buyer for 24,000gns.

Shown by G W and K Williams, Kai won his class then went on to secure the Senior Male Reserve Championship. He is a 24 month old son of the Tweeddale Hebony and Dragon Blues Gweno ET flush. The supreme champion, Bedgebury Kent offered by Andrew Price sold for 15,000gns and joins the Stoneleigh herd for EC Haste and Sons.

A further five bulls all sold at 10,000gns or above with a clearance of 84% for the bulls.
