Thousands of dramatic images of the impact of the recent weather conditions have been taken and shared with family and friends worldwide - thanks to digital technology in cameras and mobile phones.
But CLA Cymru is telling readers that their photos could be winners in the CLA’s year-long photographic competition. Robert Dangerfield from CLA Cymru says: “The CLA’s The Countryside Matters initiative has successfully raised awareness of the immense value of the countryside for the whole community.
“Over the next 12 months there’s an open invitation to capture on camera the rich diversity of our rural communities, our wildlife and the iconic features that make up our wonderful landscapes in Wales and England. There are great prizes to be won every month – and a £1,000 prize for the overall winner.
"There’s an entry section for the under-18s (who can be considered for the top prize too).
Robert says: “I snapped this shot of a cheeky thrush through my living room window. He peeked through the glass and seemed to say: C’mon mate! It’s cold out here!"
