Pembrokeshire YFC members led the way at the recent NFYFC Competitions Day, held at Stafford County Showground.
Having won every English public speaking competition at Wales level, Pembrokeshire YFC went to Stafford carrying the Welsh flag, and left having won seven out of 17 competitions.
The Senior After Dinner speaking team of Jill Luke Evans, Samuel Kurtz, Tania Hancock, Charlie George and Carwyn James talked the talk, and walked the walk as they were 9.5 clear of second place.
It was a clean sweep in the Brainstrust competition, where Pembrokeshire won trophies for Best Chairman, Rhys Jones and Best Panellist, Tomos Evans and with Ieuan Harries and Josie Lewis were also declared the Best Team.
In the Junior Public Speaking Nia Lloyd won Best Chairman and Best Vote of Thanks went to Alaw Grug.
Pembrokeshire won the top award for the Efficiency with Safety competition too, the team of Caryl Bevan, Alistair Lawrence, Berwyn Warlow and Rhys Bevan from Llysyfran having won the competition four years in a row, and for the seventh time overall.
There was also success for the Pembrokeshire fencing team, the boys from Clunderwen YFC; Chris Davies, Dan Phillips and Rhydian Williams came home with third place in a tough competition.
Pembrokeshire Young Farmers', who have been having a storming year so far, now turn their attention to the Royal Welsh Show, July 24-27 for more competitions, including tug of war, cookery, dancing, signing and rugby 7s.
The show also gives members a chance to unwind and let their hair down as the busy YFC calendar comes to a close.
