Meurig James, Whitland – chairman of the Pembrokeshire (RWAS) committee – presents David Beynon of Haverfordwest with his scroll having been made a fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies of the UK.
The FRAgS award, which originated in 1970, is in recognition of an outstanding contribution made by an individual to UK agricultural and land-based industries.
Now retired, Carmarthen-born Mr Beynon was an agricultural lecturer with Pembrokeshire County Council and at Pembrokeshire College. He was also a Welsh language tutor.
A past official and president of the North Pembrokeshire Farmers' Club, he also held office as president of the Pembrokeshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.
