A ‘dobbed-in’ driver has admitted a three offences.

Robert Pollock, of Carreg Onnen, Fishguard, did not appear at his hearing at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, November 6, but pleaded guilty to three motoring charges through his solicitor Mike Kelleher.

Sian Vaughan, prosecuting, that police found Pollock was driving without third-party insurance, otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without a valid test certificate when they stopped him on August 8 after receiving information about him.

Miss Vaughan said: “Mr Pollock seemed of the view that someone had dobbed him in, for want of a better word, and it seems this was the case.”

Mr Kelleher stated that Pollock, 43, was unable to attend court as he was undergoing a trial for a job on a Welshpool dairy farm.

Magistrates fined Pollock £350 and ordered him to pay £85 costs plus a £35 surcharge.

Six penalty points were added to his licence.
