IT was a case of Happy Ewe Year for one sheep who got into a scrape off the west Wales coast on New Year's Eve.
New Quay RNLI lifeboat crew were on their way home after rescuing dog who had fallen off a cliff near Aberporth when they were alerted to a sheep that had fallen over a cliff near Llangrannog.
Crew member Ben Davies said: “We couldn’t believe that the sheep had fallen over 80ft but had survived completely unscathed. She must have landed in the water and swum to nearby rocks where we found her stranded."
Both animals were brought safely to shore and reunited with their owners.
