THE Royal Welsh centenary show this year will showcase the talents of students at Pembrokeshire College.

To celebrate the landmark year for Pembrokeshire as feature county , this year’s RWAS ambassador Emily Davies has teamed up with Pembrokeshire College to create a short video explaining what it’s all about.

"This year not only are we celebrating being feature host county but also the 100th summer show in July. As ambassador for the society, I’m eager for as many people across the county and beyond to join us at Builth Wells this year to celebrate together, " said Emily.

Joel McWeeney, a creative media student from Pembrokeshire College, designed both an English and Welsh video which highlights what the RWAS is all about, its key events and how to get involved as feature host county.

Emily added: "Pembrokeshire College has so much to offer and as an ambassador for one of the largest agricultural shows in Europe it’s my role to showcase the local talent available. I am so grateful to the college for offering the opportunity to work together in raising the profile of our Royal Welsh society."

Denys Bassett-Jones, course leader of the creative media programme, said: “I am really pleased that we have been able to support the promotion of Pembrokeshire as feature county this year. Live brief projects are an important part of creative education at the college and Joel’s video showcases the talents he has developed with us.”

The video can be found in Welsh and English on Facebook ‘PembsRWAS2019’ along with more information on events happening across the county, 2019 RWAS merchandise and Royal Welsh Show events.
