ON Friday, April 12, the Letterston Friends of Tenovus organised a concert at Letterston Memorial Hall.

It was a wonderful evening with Haverfodwest Male Voice Choir, its musical director Sarah Sharpe and accompanist Peter Griffiths. The choir sang many familiar pieces and some amazing arrangements.

Also taking part was a young girl, Nia Lewis from Hayscastle.

Nia started to study music at the age of five, her first instrument was the cello and at the age of 10 managed to persuade her parents to buy her a harp; she is now studying for her grade 8 in both instruments.

She has also attended workshop sessions with Claire Jones, the former Royal Harpist. At the concert Nia pleased the audience very much with her selected pieces on the harp, and we wish her every success for a wonderful future.

The compere for the evening was the Reverend Geoffrey Eynon, who was excellent, as usual.

The whole evening was superb, everyone had thoroughly enjoyed themselves and a total of £585 was raised for Tenovus Cancer Care.
