THREE men are to stand trial for a series of alleged thefts in the Tivyside area.
Kevin William Hanley, aged 38, co HM Prison Stoke Heath, Market Drayton; Patrick Sean Hanley, aged 45, of St Anne’s Court, Willenhall, Walsall, and Shay Withnall, aged 38, of the same address, each faced five charges when they appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
They were accused of three thefts on April 15 - stealing £400 from OC Davies and Sons at Penparc; stealing £160 in cash and £50 worth of various drinks from Taten Eirw Chip Shop at Blaenporth and also stealing cash from CK Stores at Tanygroes.
They faced further charges of attempted theft at Llanina filling station and the theft of £50 from Dryslwyn Filling Station, Llwyncelyn, both on April 16.
All three pleaded not guilty and were sent to stand trial at Swansea Crown Court on November 15. Kevin Hanley was remanded in custody, while Patrick Hanley and Withnall were both granted unconditional bail.
