SHEEPDOGS HELPING CEMOTHERAPY UNIT.
A Dunbia Sponsored Sheepdog Sale at Talsarn, near Lampeter, was well attended with over 60 entries from as far as Anglesey in the north to Aberdare in the south and attracted buyers from as far afield as Belgium.
The top price was 4,000gns. The four auctioneers taking part in the event – D Arnold Rees, Devil's Bridge, Evans Bros, Llanybydder, Newcastle Emlyn Livestock Market and D A G Jones, Tregaron – were donating all commissions from sales to the new Chemotherapy Unit at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth.
Top price was 4,000gns for Don a 21-month-old dog from Daniel Rees, Bwlchyddwyallt, Pontrhydfendigaid. The dog's new home will be in Belgium.
