The champion bull at the Welsh Black Cattle Society's Annual Pedigree Winter Show and Sale fetched 15,500gns at Dolgellau.
The sale leader was Caerynwch Ebrillwr 16th from Mr T W Williams and Co, which sold for 15,500gns to Mr H W Jones, Llwynsarn, Rhydymain.
Next at 9,600gns was October 2020 born Ynysfergi Addewid consigned by Mr Owen M Jenkins and was knocked down to Mr D B Jenkins, Cerrigcaranau, Talybont.
Caerynwch Baron 12th, again from Mr T W Williams and Co, sold for 7,000gns to G Jones a’i Gwmni, Betws y Coed.
Two bull achieved 6,000gns – Tryfil Tomi from Mr I G Roberts, which was sold to Jenkins and Partners, Talybont, and Caran Thunderstorm from Mr Dilwyn B Jenkins, sold to J G Davies, Talsarnau.
The champion female, Tryfil Camelia 20th from Mr I G Roberts, sold for 1,900gns to Mr Dafydd Edwards, Llanon.
Reserve female champion, Dyfnant Addawol 31stc from Mr D Glyn Thomasc sold for 1,500gns to Mr Dafydd Edwards, Llanon.
Champion maiden heifer, Deicws Marian 31st from Mrs G C Williamsc sold for 1,900 to Mr Richard Lewis, Tynyfach, Tywyn. Mr G C Williams sold another maiden heifer, Deicws Sara for 1,900gns to Mr D W Jones, Llanrwst.
Reserve maiden heifer, Arglwyddes Eirian 13th, from Mr Dafydd G Jenkins, sold for 1,750gns to R T Richards, Llansannan.
The sale and show featured 37 bulls and 11 females (including seven maiden heifers). Bulls average 4,840gns.
