Crews from two stations were sent to put out a 70 square metre grass fire on steep farm land near Newtown.
Firefighters sought to put out the flames as quickly as possible to stop the fire spreading further.
Newtown and Montgomery stations were alerted to the fire near Aberbechan at 2.14pm today (Sunday, June 12).
The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service used two hose reels jets and beaters were used to extinguish the fire.
