EDW Valley Young Farmers Club were back carol singing around the local community in December, to raise money to install a new defibrillator at Hundred House Hall for the surrounding community.

Unfortunately, the last defibrillator was stolen in November 2022 and the club felt the importance of their contribution towards a vital lifesaving piece of equipment for the rural community.

On February 5 the new defibrillator and cabinet was installed at the hall.

After three nights battling the December weather the club managed to raise a total of £659.26 for the Friends of Builth Wells and District Healthcare where secretary Dave Ronicle received the funds from club chairman Mark Nixon.

Also shown in the photo is Mary Kinsey, the community representative for the Friends of Builth Wells and District Healthcare committee; Suzanne Davies, secretary of Hundred House Hall committee and guardian of the defibrillator; Sian Davies, Edw Valley YFC secretary, Rebecca Williams the club’s vice chairman, and fellow members.

The hall’s management committee would like to thank the Friends of Builth Wells and District Healthcare, Edw Valley Young Farmers Club and the community for their generosity.
