Hundreds of people are set to flock to Guilsfield Show this summer.

Organisers say the day will be “a friendly and fun day out for the whole family”. This year’s event will take place on Fron-Y-Fele Field, Groeslwyd, by kind permission of Mr Trevor Trevor, on Thursday August 10.

The show, which will open at 9am, will include everything you would expect from a show that combines agriculture, entertainment and shopping.

Guilsfield Show Chairman, Guy Ennever, said: “The organising committee has been busy planning a host of fun activities to showcase the region’s livestock, food producers and the countryside way of living.

“The show is such a fun and friendly day out for absolutely everyone. This year’s event will offer a blend of new and much-loved attractions, including a fantastic horse section, children’s fancy dress, a falconry display and a parade of vintage machinery.”

Livestock and animal competitions this year include dogs, horses, poultry and sheep. While in the marquee there will be competitions for art, handicraft, photography, cookery, gardening and horticulture.

Show tickets cost £8 for adults, £3 for children and £16 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). For those who cannot make the day but want to enjoy the live music in the evening, there is a separate evening ticket (4pm – 9pm) for just £4 per adult.
